Dementia Café for the Black and Minority Ethnic Community

Concerned about your own memory or that of someone you know?

The Alzheimer’s Society are providing a safe, comfortable and relaxed environment in which people from our diverse communities who are affected by or concerned about dementia can meet with others in similar circumstances.

With the support of Diverse Cymru, the Alzheimer’s Society are establishing a new Dementia Café in Butetown, Cardiff. This will be a safe place for those in this community who are living with serious memory problems to meet others in a similar position and find out about other sources of support.
An opportunity to discuss concerns or simply socialise in a space where dementia challenges are accepted and understood. Staff from the Alzheimer’s Society are on hand to provide coffee, biscuits, information and support.

This will take place at Butetown History & Arts Centre 4 Dock Chambers, Bute Street, Butetown, Cardiff, CF10 5EQ on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 2pm to 4pm.

If you would like more information on the café please contact the Cardiff and The Vale Alzheimer’s Society Helpline on 02920 434960
